Since 1982, our family’s Napa Valley vineyard has consistently yielded an Estate Cabernet Sauvignon that exudes elegant power, effusive blackberry fruit and spice, naturally refined tannins, and extraordinary color. Beautiful, elegant, age-worthy, and impeccably balanced, it is widely recognized as one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.
We have been making a highly acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc since 1984, and we make it with the same intention as our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted with great care from fruit grown in exceptional soils, it is a serious and expressive wine with structure and sophistication.
One of the former names of the Spottswoode Estate, Lyndenhurst is a fruit forward, supple, and demonstrative Cabernet Sauvignon made primarily from grapes grown on our estate, along with those from a handful of other exceptional sites.
Field Book Wines
As we pursue our love for interesting varietals from distinctive vineyard sites we are thrilled to offer Field Book to our loyal Top Spott! and Spott On! members in appreciation for continued patronage.
Syrah: Less than 150 cases of this Syrah are made from small, intensely flavored berries grown on Griffin’s Lair Vineyard, a site located along the Petaluma Gap in the Sonoma Coast AVA. A collector’s favorite, it displays Spottswoode’s trademark elegance with a classic, cool-climate style.
Albariño: This complex, bright, and expressive white varietal is grown at Rusty Gate Farm on Laguna Ridge’s upland hills in the Russian River Valley appellation. Fresh and floral with beautiful acidity and enduring mineralogy, it is an appealing wine with a rich, precise palate.
