2010 Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon

Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon is, in its way, a true “insider” wine, known mostly to our mailing list customers and to just a handful of others, all of whom exude great enthusiasm for it! A former name of the Spottswoode Estate, so named to celebrate the four Linden trees which surrounded the old gazebo (the trees are still standing while only the center pole of the gazebo remains), Lyndenhurst is a Cabernet which exhibits serious complexity while at the same time radiating warmth and vivacity.

Spottswoode’s long history as a family-owned wine estate, along with our deep winemaking expertise and passionate attention to detail, allows us to craft a Cabernet Sauvignon that is alluring, expressive, and delicious?one that is true to our exacting standards and offers the exceptional quality and integrity that our customers have come to expect from us.

This is the second year of our “new” label and its vibrant color speaks to the beauty, brightness, and drinkability of the Lyndenhurst Cabernet. We are confident that the wonderful 2010 vintage will bring you great enjoyment and pleasure!

This inviting wine is packed with dark black cherries, rich boysenberries, and crumbled graham cracker. Hints of warm caramel and dried herbs jump from the glass with subtle aromas of graphite and cedar. Integrated tannins contribute to the beautiful, opulent core which delivers ripe raspberries and cranberries along with toasted marshmallow to the palate.
