overviewSpottswoode produces three wines in very limited quantities: the Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, the Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc, and the recently-introduced Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon. The Spottswoode Estate has been farmed organically since 1985 and has been certified by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) since 1990.
Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
For more than twenty years, we have been committed to translating our grapes into a Cabernet that embodies the unique characteristics of the Spottswoode estate. Our commitment to honoring our vineyard yields an Estate Cabernet Sauvignon that consistently exudes elegant power, effusive blackberry fruit and spice, naturally refined tannins, and extraordinary color. It is lush and expressive in its youth and continues to evolve beautifully over time.
Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc
Sensitively farmed to preserve the land, grapes from our own estate and from a handful of small, family-owned vineyards are blended to create this classically-styled Sauvignon Blanc. We make this wine in the same careful way that we tend our vineyards and gardens, producing only a limited quantity of each vintage. Our Sauvignon expresses that which we feel is best about this varietal—tropical fruit, notes of citrus and lemongrass, spice and a crisp minerality, all balanced with a subtle creaminess.
Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon
This new Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from young vines on our estate that have gifted us with exceptional flavor. Made to the same exacting standards as our Spottswoode Cabernet, Lyndenhurst is enticingly fresh and approachable and may be enjoyed upon release.
