2009 Lyndenhurst Cabernet SauvignonVinography, Alder Yarrow
Tasting Notes: Dark garnet in the glass, this wine smells of wet earth, cherry, and tobacco. In the mouth fine grained tannins wrap around a core of bright cherry fruit with hints of cedar and vanilla. Good acid, nice length. With 3% Cabernet Franc added. Tasty?, 14.6% alcohol. Score: between 8.5 and 9. (February, 2012) Read the complete article.
International Wine Cellar, Steve Tanzer(100% estate fruit): Bright red ruby. Black cherry, cassis, cedar and graphite on the nose. Supple and sweet but more vibrant than some past vintages of this second wine, with rich currant and chocolate flavors accented by fresh herbs and a hint of menthol. Finishes with supple tannins and nice length. This will offer plenty of early appeal. 89 points (May, 2012) www.wineaccess.com/tanzer
