Harvest 1992
Generous winter rains recharged our soils with plenty of water for the vines to draw from throughout the growing season. The vineyards shed their dormancy with budbreak at the end of March; springtime was beautiful, which led to an even, timely flowering by the end of May. Summer continued on a moderate warm trend through a textbook veraison period, and we began our Sauvignon Blanc harvest on August 14th. The Cabernet was picked between the 8th and the 16th of September. In summary, the moderate warm temperatures, in conjunction with the welcome winter rains, led to excellent vine and cluster development and an ideal maturation period: Classic by textbook growing standards!
