2009 Field Book “Rhone”
We are very happy to release our third vintage of Field Book, our Rhone style wine which we reserve exclusively for members of our SPOTT ON! Club. We produce this wine in extremely limited quantities—only 172 cases in 2009—which means we can offer no more than four bottles to each of our SPOTT ON! customers.
The name reflects the detailed search we conducted and notes we recorded as we sought a stellar vineyard site perfectly suited to the growing of Syrah and Grenache. The 2009 Field Book is a delicious blend of these two varietals, displaying deep blackberry fruit, spice, mint, vanilla, and hints of butterscotch. It is fruit-forward and plush on the palate. Crafted by Spottswoode to our exacting standards, Field Book displays our trademark elegance and structure, and is a compelling expression of the Paso Robles appellation.
